Rocky Mountain Health Foundation Awards Grants $251,500 to 15 Nonprofit Organizations
Fifteen nonprofit organizations (serving 19 Western Slope counties) received a total of $251,500 for the second quarter of 2018 grant awards from Rocky Mountain Health Foundation. Grants were awarded to organizations and programs that address access to healthcare; preventive care and services; behavioral health services; case management; population health (including integrating social service programs and health systems); and community-based projects. The funding supports health and wellness related causes that directly impact education/prevention/access to health, community engagement, intervention, and treatment.
“We are proud to partner with organizations focusing on improving the health of our Western Slope residents,” said Lisa Fenton Free, executive director. “Supporting health-related programs for some of our most vulnerable populations ensures better health, better care and better communities.”
The recipients are Bridging Bionics Foundation (Basalt), Doors 2 Success (Grand Junction), Family Visitor Program of Garfield County, Inc (Glenwood Springs), Girls on the Run (Grand Junction), Integrated Community (Steamboat Springs), Joseph Center (Grand Junction), Lift Up of Routt County (Steamboat Springs), STRiVE (Grand Junction), Midwestern Colorado Mental Health Center (Montrose), Montrose Memorial Hospital (Montrose), Mountain Medical Center, LLC (Ridgway), Pediatric Partners of the Southwest (Durango), Reach Out and Read Colorado (Grand Junction), Riverside Educational Center (Grand Junction), and St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation (Grand Junction).
