With the isolation of 2020 mostly behind us, we hope you are enjoying new freedoms and re-engaging with family and friends! You have weathered much over the last year and a half, and we applaud your enthusiasm, optimism, and flexibility. We are excited to reconnect with you as our summer grant cycle opens on June 21, 2021. In response to the challenges of the pandemic, RMHF added extra cycles and removed many of the eligibility requirements for 2020. Now, for 2021, we have created an Eligibility Schedule in order to manage the volume of potential grant requests. If you applied in 2020 – whether you were funded or not — click here to view the Schedule and determine when you can apply again. If you last applied anytime in 2018 or 2019, you are eligible. Pre-Application phone calls are required to begin the application process for all applicants! You may start scheduling appointments on June 21, 2021. If your organization is based in Grand, Jackson, Mesa, Moffat, Rio Blanco, or Routt counties, please schedule with Stephanie Self using this link: Organizations in all other Western Slope counties should schedule with Julie Hinkson using this link: The grant application opens on June 21, 2021, and closes at 5:00 p.m. on July 16, 2021. For this cycle, RMHF will award grants to Western Slope-based nonprofit, governmental, tribal, school, or public entities that both deliver programmatic services and have personnel residing primarily in our service area, and align with at least one of our funding priorities: • Basic Needs (food, housing, transportation, safety) • Access to & Affordability of Physical/Visual/Oral Health • Access to & Affordability of Social/Emotional/Behavioral Health Approximately $695,000 will be available for grants to organizations that support the most vulnerable individuals in our 22-county reach. Recent grant awards have ranged from $5,000-$25,000 with an average award of $12,466. Exciting news! • RMHF staff has invested in a new grants management software that is flexible and robust and will enable us to be more effective and efficient in our grantmaking. We think you will find it to be user-friendly as well! Please consider applying for funding. We applaud your deep commitment to your community and want to help you fulfill your mission. We look forward to talking with you!
